Many people shared collective misconceptions about detox. When you think that a detox program removes toxins from your system with detox supplements and dietary products - it is more than that.

One of the misconceptions is that our body needs any detox program to detox. The fact is that our body does not need a detox program because our body has its natural way of detoxification.

How do toxins in our body come out? We released toxins in our bodies with byproducts our bodies make through urea, feces, and lactic acid. According to a liver specialist and surgeon, Thomas Aloia, M.D., detoxifying the normal things we eat, ingest and breathe is part of the liver’s job and what keeps us alive.

Most of us look at it as simply more physical that when we limit ourselves from biochemical compounds, everything gets well on our health.

We need to keep everything in moderation. We cannot pack our liver full of alcohol, fats, and sugar. Our kidney can handle all the things it needs. We just need to maintain a healthy kidney organ.

The second misconception about detox is that it is 100% safe. The fact is that a detox diet can be dangerous. The real problem with detoxification is that people restrict it to physical things.

We sometimes call for complete fasting, fruit juice, or water only, using herbs and supplements. This strict regimen can only cause electrolyte imbalances, diarrhea, mineral deficiencies, fatigue, and stomach problems.

If you are deficient in specific nutrients, talk to your doctor to determine if you need specific multivitamins to boost your immune system.

Another misconception is that weight loss from detox is sustainable. Most modification programs, such as wellness programs, diets, or recovery regimens, and others are temporary. They address the real issue at one time and don't give much of an impact.

You may lose some pounds in a detox diet due to fluid losses or some loss of lean muscle mass, not body fat. Detoxes are not meant to be a long-term pattern, so the results are not long term either.

Most importantly, the reason why detox fails to deliver its complete health benefits is that we treat the wrong condition.

Here's another fact - Any real detox program must not only deal with biochemistry, but it cannot address emotional, spiritual, and holistic issues you have.

Your detox program will put to waste if you are struggling with emotional, mental, and spiritual toxins. It won't perform at peak level. It goes beyond the obvious.

If you have lifestyle issues or emotional setbacks, you may only address the superficial symptoms of external signs. You are not addressing the real deep-seated problem.

Remember that a superficial way of addressing the real symptoms is not enough. The most practical yet always disregarded is the holistic detox approach.

By holistic means to look at the things, you cannot see and identify what affects your holistic health. What is so special about holistic detox is that most personal change programs suffer from the same limitations and boundaries separated from the body and emotions.

If you want permanent change and you want maximum control over many areas of your life, press the reboot button and go on with your total detox system.
